Top Women in Banking: ANGELA UNDERWOOD-JACOBS

Angela Underwood-Jacobs

Senior Vice President

California Bank & Trust

Angela Underwood-Jacobs, the first African American woman elected to the city council in Lancaster, has established herself as a highly regarded, engaged leader. As a regional manager and senior vice president at California Bank and Trust, Underwood-Jacobs manages business banking throughout Ventura County, San Bernardino County, and North Los Angeles County. Prior to this, she served eighteen years as the consumer market executive at Bank of America. She began her career in banking as a teller and navigated her way to senior management.

As a community banker, Underwood-Jacobs works with people to help them live their American Dream — purchase their first home, obtain a loan to launch a small business, or by learning to save and invest for retirement. As a City Councilmember, she has experienced firsthand how government impacts its citizens on the ground level — and how the state and federal government impacts families and businesses.
