As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Matthew Clark oversees the strategy, planning, financial reporting, investor relations, payroll, tax, treasury and risk management functions at The Cheesecake Factory. He is also intimately involved in corporate governance and supporting the company’s key initiatives, including recently leading its minority investment in two external, high-growth restaurant brands. Starting with The Cheesecake Factory as Vice President of Strategy, he then grew into the role of Senior Vice President of Finance and Strategy before taking over the role of CFO in 2017. Throughout his tenure at The Cheesecake Factory, Clark has also been involved in the development of the company’s international growth and formulation of its capital allocation program, including the initiation of a dividend and over $1 billion in share repurchases, as well as leading the Enterprise Risk Management process and Project Management Office. During his over twelve years with the Company, he has helped to grow total revenues by over 125% and to increase earnings per share by over 250%.
