Aimee Gilbreath serves as Executive Director of Michelson Found Animals Foundation, a position she’s held since the organization’s inception in 2008 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the lost pets left in its wake. The Foundation is committed to keeping pets safe at home with the people who love them and ending shelter euthanasia. Found Animals enriches both pet and owner lives through a national microchip registry; adoption services; animal advocacy; resources and support for pet owners; and grants for medical breakthroughs in non-surgical spay and neuter methods; and provides support for other animal welfare organizations. Gilbreath and the organization have helped 1.5 million pets and the people that love them, as well as the community, in many ways including through her work as a founding member of No Kill Los Angeles (NKLA), where she currently is a steering committee member.
