PostUp over the weekend said that it acquired UberTwitter, developer of a Twitter software program for BlackBerry phones, and as a result has changed its own name to UberMedia.

UberMedia is a developer of applications that make it easier for users to find and communicate with others on Twitter and other social media platforms. This is the third Twitter client acquisition for the Pasadena Internet advertising firm, which was founded at the Pasadena incubator Idealab. It previously acquired Twidroid for the Android phone, and earlier this month acquired Echofon for the iPhone.

Terms of the latest deal were not disclosed. This is the third name change for the company, originally known as TweetUp, in roughly six months. Its chief executive is Idealab co-founder Bill Gross.
