Accounting services firm Ernst & Young LLP has named Leslie Blair to managing partner of its advisory services practice in the firm’s downtown L.A. office.

Previously, Blair was a principal at Deloitte Consulting LLP.


Wilshire Finance Partners, a West L.A. commercial real estate lending institution, has named Hugh Leo vice president of business development. Previously, Leo was an independent consultant.

Calabasas Capital LLC, a financial advisory firm in West Hills, has named David Bonrouhi managing director. Previously, Bonrouhi was managing director at Blue Line Capital, a financial services firm.

RNC Genter Capital Management, a downtown L.A. financial services firm, has named Richard Potocki as senior vice president and new director of the institutional division. Previously, Potocki was a partner and managing director at J&W Seligman, a Boston-based financial services firm.


GRB Entertainment, a Sherman Oaks producer and distributor of reality programming, has named Emily Mayer vice president of development. Previously, Mayer was vice president of series for production company Alchemy Television Group.

Vuguru LLC, an L.A. new-media studio, has named Larry Tanz president. Previously, Tanz was president of Agility Studios LLC, an L.A.-based digital content producer.

Riot Games Inc., a Culver City video game publisher, has named Jarl Mohn to its board. Mohn is a board member of ComScore Inc., a digital marketing firm in Reston, Va., and Scripps Networks Services Inc., a Cincinnati media firm.


Herbalife Ltd., a downtown L.A.-based maker of nutritional supplements, has promoted Des Walsh to president, and John DeSimone to chief financial officer Rich Goudis to chief operating officer. Previously, Walsh was executive vice president of worldwide operations and sales. DeSimone was senior vice president of finance and distributor operations. Goudis was chief financial officer.


Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in downtown Los Angeles has promoted Larry McCue to director of sales and marketing and Tom Shaw to director of group sales. Previously, McCue was director of group sales and Shaw was associate director of sales at the hotel.


White & Case LLP has promoted Aalok Sharma to partner in its global litigation practice at the firm’s downtown L.A. office. Previously, Sharma was an associate at the firm.

Reed Smith LLP has promoted Nicole Herron Kolhoff to partner in its Century City office. Previously, Kolhoff was an associate at the firm.

WilmerHale, a Washington, D.C.-based law firm, has promoted Michael D. Jay to counsel, and Bethany M. Stevens and Bill Ward to senior associates at its Los Angeles office. Previously, Jay was a senior associate, and Stevens and Ward were associates at the firm.

The American Lung Association in California has named Marilyn W. de Leo as executive director for Los Angeles. Previously, de Leo was director of development at the Children’s Burn Foundation, a Sherman Oaks-based non-profit.


CB Richard Ellis Group Inc., a West L.A.-based real estate services firm, has named Laura D. Tyson to its board. Tyson is a global management professor at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services, a real estate brokerage firm, has promoted Chris Maling to first vice president of investments in the firm’s downtown L.A. office. Previously, Maling was a vice president of investments.


Arden Group Inc., the Compton parent company of supermarket chain Gelson’s Markets, has promoted Laura J. Neumann to chief financial officer. Previously, Neumann was senior director of financial reporting and compliance.
