Previously, Keith was associate director, and Lee, Leung and Vahdat were senior managers at the firm.


Perkowitz + Ruth Architects, a Long Beach-based architecture firm, has promoted Michael Bohn, Winston Chang and Don Grainger to principals, and Joseph Serruya, Terry Todd and Brad Williams to associate principals. Previously, Bohn, Chang and Grainger were associate principals; Serruya, Todd and Williams were senior associates at the firm.


Wedbush Morgan Securities Inc., a securities brokerage and investment banking firm based in downtown Los Angeles, has named Thomas Murphy managing director and head of a new division for convertibles, options and distressed securities. Previously, Murphy was senior vice president of convertible securities at Jefferies & Co. Inc., a New York-based investment firm.

Downtown L.A.-based City National Bank has named Logan Allin a senior vice president in the wealth management division and Michael Muttart a senior vice president for trust and investment management. Previously, Allin was a director in the downtown L.A. office of accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC. Muttart was a fiduciary adviser for Bank of America in Palm Desert.


Kurtzman Carson Consultants LLC, an El Segundo consulting firm serving companies in Chapter 11, has named Owen Ellsworth corporate restructuring services consultant. Previously, Ellsworth was a senior vice president of corporate planning and development at Administar Services Group LLC, a Jacksonville, Fla., consultancy.

Martha Spano has joined the downtown L.A. office of Aon Investment Consulting as senior vice president. Previously, Spano was west division practice leader at Watson Wyatt, an Arlington, Va.-based business consultancy.


The Los Angeles Community College District has named Tyree Wieder interim chancellor. Previously, Wieder was president of Los Angeles Valley College in Van Nuys.

Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management has named Gary L. Mangiofico director of the master’s of science in organization development program. Mangiofico is chief executive of Los Angeles Universal Preschool, a downtown L.A.-based organization advocating high-quality preschool education for 4-year-olds.

West Coast University in Silver Lake has named Barry T. Ryan chief executive. Previously, Ryan was president of Argosy University, Southern California.


ValleyCrest Landscape Cos., a landscaping business in Calabasas, has named Bruce Williams director of business development, west, in the ValleyCrest Golf Course Maintenance division. Previously, Williams was director of golf courses and grounds at Los Angeles County Club in Westwood.

Villa Esperanza Services, a Pasadena non-profit organization that assists people with developmental disabilities, has named Wendy Petry chairwoman. Petry is an administrator at the Pasadena Police Department.

Wellness Community-West Los Angeles, a non-profit organization providing free cancer support programs, has named Judy Caruthers and Sven Hackmann to its board. Caruthers is national director of project and development services at Jones Lang LaSalle, a Chicago-based real estate investment service firm.
