The California Society of Certified Public Accountants has named Violeta D. Cristobal as president of the Los Angeles chapter and Renee Miller as president of the Inland Empire chapter. Cristobal is a CPA and owner of Cristobal & Co. Miller is a CPA and chairman of University of La Verne's department of applied business sciences and economics.

Casey J. Cox has been promoted to project manager at the Pasadena office of MCG Architecture. Cox was most recently job captain.

Selbert Perkins Design, an art, communications and environmental design firm, has promoted Andy Davey to principal of design operations, Jose Gavieres to senior designer, Jamal Kitmitto to design director and Nancy Martinez to principal of business development. Davey was previously design director. Gavieres was formerly a designer. Kitmitto most recently served as a senior designer. Martinez was previously marketing director.

U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, the new business unit created from the combination of U.S. Trust and Private Bank of Bank of America, has named Fung Der as market executive for West Los Angeles and Rich Tribiano as market executive for Metro Los Angeles. Der was formerly Greater Los Angeles market executive for Private Bank of Bank of America. Tribiano most recently served as the Los Angeles office head for U.S. Trust.

Security Pacific Bank of Los Angeles has named Charles Jackson as president and chief executive. Also, Russell Moore was named senior vice president and regional manager of its Ontario branch. Jackson most recently served as president and chief executive of Community Bank in Pasadena. Moore was previously senior vice president and regional manager for Community Bank.

Dennis W. Draper has been named dean of Loyola Marymount University's College of Business Administration. Draper was most recently director for the Center for Investment Studies and associate professor of finance at the Marshall School of Business at USC.

Weidlinger Associates Inc., a structural and civil engineering consulting firm, has named Brian and Michael Cochran as principals. The Cochrans were formerly consulting structural engineers at Brian L. Cochran Associates.

Rachel Aberly has been named vice president of Participant Productions, a Los Angeles-based production company. Aberly was previously a publicity consultant for the company.

Universal Studios Hollywood has promoted Sandra Lady to vice president of special events and convention sales. Lady most recently served as director of sales.

Post Logic Studios, a post-production facility, has rehired Bryan McMahan as a colorist. McMahan was previously a colorist at Technicolor, a motion-picture film processor.

Julie Moore has been named planning deputy for the Fourth District of Los Angeles County. Moore was formerly supervising regional planner for advance planning division of the Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning.

Sizzler USA has named Forbes Collins as director of operations and Randy Hallowell as director of franchise operations. Collins was previously director of operations for Wolfgang Puck Gourmet Express. Hallowell most recently served as a franchise business consultant at Sizzler.

Sander A. Kessler & Associates Inc., a Los Angeles-based insurance brokerage based in Santa Monica, has promoted Seth Ford Gilman to senior vice president. Gilman was formerly vice president at the brokerage.

The organization also appointed Jim Morrison, Autumn Mosteller-Krischer, Mark Pan, Jos & #233; Sarabia and Colleen Sweeney to its board. Bensimon is president and chief operating officer at Dearden's. Morrison is a real estate broker. Mosteller-Krischer is a senior foreign exchange specialist at Well's Fargo. Pan is a district team leader for Target Corp. Sarabia is a senior manager in the Los Angeles office of Deloitte & Touche LLP. Sweeney is director of talent acquisition services at Nestle USA.

Robert W. Sweeney has been named first corporate fellow of the Pacific Council on International Policy, a Los Angeles-based non-profit network of business, civic, government and academic leaders. Sweeney is president of the Los Angeles-based Far East National Bank.

RXi Pharmaceuticals Corp., a subsidiary of biopharmaceutical research and development company CytRx Corp., has named Dmitry Samarsky as vice president of technology development. Samarsky was formerly director of technology development at Dharmacon Inc., an RNA-interference technology provider.

Antoine Boulin has been named chief executive of TG Publishing, an online company specializing in technology news and reviews. Boulin was previously managing director of France for Pangora, the shopping division of Lycos Europe.

J.H. Snyder Co., a commercial and residential developer, has promoted C. Drew Planting to senior partner. Planting was formerly managing principal with the company.
