BDO Seidman LLP named Marc Shayer director of state and local tax in the firm's Los Angeles office. Shayer was previously a state and local tax senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Long Beach-based Apriso Corp., which provides supply-network solutions, named Thomas A. Comstock vice president of marketing. Comstock was formerly the vice president of product marketing at Brooks Software, a software division of Brooks Automation.

Claudia Teran was promoted to senior vice president, business and legal affairs, at Fox Cable Networks. Teran was formerly the vice president of business and legal affairs.

Concord Music Group hired John Baldi as vice president of music publishing and licensing, a new position. Most recently, Baldi was the creative director of Mosaic Music Publishing in Los Angeles. Beverly Hills-based Concord Music Group is an independent record company that maintains a collection of historical recordings.

National Lampoon Inc. named its president, Douglas S. Bennett, to the additional role of chief financial officer. The Los Angeles-based entertainment firm also named Lorraine Evanoff vice president, finance and chief accounting officer. Evanoff was controller at TAG Entertainment Corp.

Richard D. Cordova was named president and chief operating officer at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Cordova was previously president of the Southern California region of the Kaiser Permanente Health Plan and Hospitals.

Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP named Darry Sragow partner and member of the firm's national public law and policy strategies group in Los Angeles. Sragow was formerly the area managing director of the California offices of Public Strategies Inc., a national public affairs firm.

Richard Grant was named partner in the corporate transactions group of Van Etten Suzumoto & Becket LLP, a Santa Monica-based business law firm. Prior to joining Van Etten, Grant was a partner with Wolf Rifkin Shapiro & Schulman LLP.

David Fong was named real estate special counsel in the Los Angeles office of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP. Fong was formerly a principal at First Street Realty Investments Inc.

Da Vinci Studios Inc., a West Hills-based manufacturer of porcelain veneers, promoted its chief operating officer, Paul Wolff, to president.

G & M; Plumbing, a full-service ad agency and production company based in Manhattan Beach, named Lisa Welch-Nehring managing partner of the firm. Prior to joining G & M;, Welch-Nehring worked for Wieden & Kennedy NY as director of strategic planning.

Desiree Horton was named pilot/reporter for "KTLA Morning News." Horton has worked for Helinet Aviation since 1998, covering stories for television stations including KABC-TV (Channel 7).

Trade publisher Primedia Inc. appointed Robert P. Sherry group publisher of online properties. Sherry most recently held a senior management post at Affinity Group, a publisher of outdoor recreation titles. Primedia also promoted James Bell to publisher of IntelliChoice and Shari Gunn to vice president of marketing, in the consumer automotive group. Bell was previously the director of media sales for IntelliChoice and Gunn was formerly the director of marketing.

The North Hollywood-based Dubnoff Center for Child Development named Adrienne Gill, Marjorie N. Hendricks and Gerald N. Kane to its board. Gill is the director of business development at Beck Group. Hendricks is a senior manager of Pope & Associates and Kane is an attorney practicing estate planning and elder law.

Jill S. Frieze was named executive co-chairwoman of the City of Angels Ballet, a non-profit academy serving at-risk youth in Los Angeles. Frieze is a vice president of global trade and treasury services at Bank of America in downtown Los Angeles.

Los Angeles-based StarPoint Properties LLC, a real estate company specializing in the acquisition, development and repositioning of multi-family and retail projects, named Mark Forman vice president of ExchangePoint LLC. Previously, Forman was a principal at GF Realty Advisors.

Charles Dunn Co., a full-service real estate firm, appointed Reeve Ahron associate in the retail services group in the firm's West Los Angeles office. Prior to joining Charles Dunn, Ahron served as first vice president for Salomon Smith Barney, a full-service financial firm.

Westfield Santa Anita, the Arcadia shopping mall, named Michael Lattanzio general manager. Lattanzio was most recently the executive director of operations for NBC Universal Park and Resorts CityWalk entertainment complex.

In-Fusio, a mobile games publisher and provider of players' community management, named Jeffrey Lapin vice chairman. Lapin was formerly chief executive and a director of Take-Two Interactive Software Inc.

Heather C. Morris was appointed director of communications for the Port of Long Beach. Previously, she was the public information officer for the city of Irvine.

Marine Terminals Corp., a national contract stevedore and terminal operating company, appointed Christian M. Eyler vice president of coast-wide operations, general stevedoring division. He was previously the operations manager of the Riviera Beach Terminal of Tropical Shipping, a containerized cargo carrier to the Caribbean region.
