Mark Dumas was promoted to regional vice president at the Los Angeles International Airport regional office of Imperial Bank. He will manage a team of bankers serving small to mid-sized businesses in the manufacturing, distribution, wholesale and service industries. Dumas was most recently senior vice president of business development.
Rossina A. Gallegos has been promoted to vice president at Union Bank of California in Los Angeles. She will be responsible for expanding the bank's Urban Enterprise Banking portfolio, which focuses on providing commercial credit facilities and other bank services for minority and women-owned businesses. Gallegos was previously a banking officer in the special asset division.
Kevin Hart has been named president and chief executive of SunAmerica Financial Network, SunAmerica Inc.'s network of wholly owned brokers in Los Angeles. He will focus on the expansion of the number of independent representatives. Hart was previously executive vice president and national sales manager for SunAmerica Retirement Markets.
Jere R. Hausfater has been appointed president of the motion picture group, worldwide distribution and acquisitions at Intermedia, an entertainment investment company in Los Angeles. He will oversee worldwide distribution and marketing as well as acquisition of motion pictures. Hausfater was most recently executive vice president of acquisitions and business affairs at Walt Disney Co. for Buena Vista Film and Buena Vista International.
Patrick Kennedy was promoted to senior vice president at Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment in Culver City. He will be responsible for day-to-day operations. Kennedy was previously vice president of corporate development at Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Paulette W. Lee was promoted to vice president of legal affairs at Dick Clark Productions Inc., a producer of television programming in Burbank. She will oversee legal affairs for the company as a whole, as well as for the restaurant subsidiary. Lee was previously assistant general counsel for Airport Group International.
Robert Norton has been appointed senior vice president of business and legal affairs at the Jim Henson Co. in Hollywood. He will be responsible for the day-to-day business and legal affairs of the Jim Henson Television Group and Jim Henson Pictures. Norton was previously in private practice in Los Angeles, specializing in motion picture and television work.
Jed Simon was named head of new media at DreamWorks Records in Los Angeles. He will oversee new creative marketing and distribution. Simon was previously director of finance.
Mike Clark was named vice president of planning and business development at Little Company of Mary Health Services in Torrance. He will oversee strategic planning, business development, marketing and community relations. Clark was previously senior vice president of business development at Glendale Memorial Hospital.
Sylvia Martinez has been appointed vice president of development at Encore Software Inc., a developer and publisher of interactive software in Los Angeles. She will be responsible for building product lines and expanding console and Internet efforts. Martinez was most recently executive producer at Havas Interactive.
David J. Meyer was named partner at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips in Los Angeles. His practice focuses on intellectual property counseling and dispute resolution. Meyer was previously an associate at Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro.
Ronald Reynolds has been named partner at Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays & Handler in Los Angeles. He specializes in complex commercial litigation. Reynolds was most recently a partner at Troop, Steuber, Pasich, Reddick & Tobey in Los Angeles.
Beatrice Berger has been named vice president at the Phelps Group, a Santa Monica-based marketing communications agency. She will oversee direct marketing and e-commerce-related projects. Berger was previously an independent e-marketing consultant.
George Bradt has been named chief marketing and business development officer at Guidance, an online business developer in Marina del Rey. He will oversee all marketing efforts. Bradt was most recently deputy division president in China for Coca-Cola Co.
Douglas Scott was promoted to executive vice president of product and technology at the Hollywood Stock Exchange, an entertainment stock exchange where visitors use virtual currency to buy, sell and trade shares in celebrities, movies and music. He will oversee future technological expansion and product growth over all lines of business, including market research and content and original programming. Scott was previously president and chief operating officer at ArtView. Also, Juliana Badagliacca Rubenstein was promoted to vice president of products. She will supervise Web site development and production. Rubenstein was most recently senior director of product.
Mark Sonnenberg was named executive vice president of content and marketing at Intertainer Inc., a broadband provider in Culver City. He will oversee content acquisition, e-commerce, advertising, enhanced television programming and production, and marketing functions. Sonnenberg was previously executive vice president of entertainment at In Demand.
Michael D. Welch has been named chief executive of the Painted Turtle Camp Foundation, a Malibu-based non-profit organization that builds camps for children with chronic diseases. He will oversee all growth and development. Welch was previously assistant vice chancellor at Pepperdine University.
Michael Packard has been appointed president of Charles Dunn Co., a full-service brokerage and management firm in Los Angeles. He will oversee strategic growth and direction of the property management division. Packard was most recently president and chief executive at Chaney, Brooks & Co. in Hawaii.
Peter E. Puzo has been promoted to executive vice president and managing director at Grubb & Ellis Co. in North Los Angeles. He will oversee day-to-day operations. Puzo was previously partner/owner of the Brookhurst Co., a firm specializing in commercial and industrial leasing and sales.
Jon Torgeson has been promoted to senior vice president of North American sales at PropertyFirst.com, an online commercial real estate firm in Alhambra. He will be responsible for overall direction, leadership and growth of the sales organization. Torgeson was most recently vice president of strategic accounts.
Christopher Jones was named vice president of marketing at Saban Consumer Products in Los Angeles. He will oversee all marketing strategies. Jones was previously director of motor sports at Mattel.
William David Hynes was named vice president of marketing and sales for the West Hollywood Convention & Visitors Bureau. He will oversee all marketing efforts. Hynes was most recently director of sales and marketing at House of Blues. Also, Vicki Heitland has been named executive administrator. She will oversee relations with the board of directors, executive support, accounts payable and receivable, and coordination of special events. Heitland was previously events coordinator for Walt Disney Co. In addition, Elise Knepper was named director of communications. She will oversee all public relations activities. Knepper was formerly director of conferences at Fairchild Publications.
