LA500 2026: Lucy Guo

Lucy Guo

Founder, Chief Executive
Passes Inc.

Lucy Guo made history in 2025 as the youngest self-made woman billionaire in the world, unseating Taylor Swift for the title after Scale AI – the data-labeling company she co-founded at 21 following a Thiel Fellowship – was valued at $25 billion.
Guo’s path wasn’t linear. She left Scale AI in 2018 after a disagreement with her co-founder over the company’s strategy and whether to build out the product or chase million-dollar contracts. The fallout proved formative.
She channeled the experience into Passes, a West Hollywood company she now leads as founder and chief executive, built on a simple premise: to bring enterprise-grade infrastructure to the creator economy.
Dubbed “the Salesforce for influencers,” Passes helps digital creators monetize their social media audiences without drowning their feeds in sponsored posts and brand deals. The platform streamlines inbox management, direct messages and contracts, giving influencers the kind of operational backbone that most industries take for granted.
The billionaire crown proved fleeting. By late 2025, Guo passed the title to Luana Lopes Lara, chief operating officer of the New York-based online prediction and gambling platform Kalshi.
