Johanna Faries leads one of the biggest and most influential video game studios in the world. Since it was founded 35 years ago, Irvine-based Blizzard has produced iconic video game franchises like World of Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo and Overwatch. Faries was named Blizzard president in 2024 after three years as general manager of the Call of Duty League at sister company Activision. Prior to joining Activision Blizzard, Faries held various leadership roles for 11 years at the NFL. Faries is leading a company preparing to wow its fans this fall with the return of BlizzCon, Blizzard’s once annual gaming showcase that will be returning this year for the first time since 2023.
