In 2013, Jack Etienne co-founded Cloud9, an esports organization based in Santa Monica that has grown to become one of the most successful esports orgs in the world. Cloud9, more commonly referred to as C9 by esports fans, has teams competing in practically every major esport. C9’s League of Legends team is consistently one of the best in North America. The organization’s Counter-Strike team famously won the Boston Major in 2018 to become the first and to this day the only North American team to win a Counter-Strike Major tournament. Forbes listed C9 as the fifth-most valuable esports organization in the world at $380 million in their last esports org valuation list in 2022
