Julie Uhrman co-founded Angel City FC in 2020 alongside Natalie Portman, Kara Nortman and Alexis Ohanian. The franchise achieved a $250 million valuation, making it the world’s most valuable women’s professional sports team. Ahead of the 2025 season, Uhrman oversaw the opening of the club’s expanded nine-acre performance center – the largest active headquarters in the NWSL. During her tenure, Angel City established the highest revenue in the NWSL and generated over $3.9 million for community impact through its unique 10% sponsorship model. In early 2026, Uhrman transitioned from her role as chief executive to principal advisor to the club’s ownership, while continuing to serve on the ACFC board to shape the franchise’s long-term vision.
