President
Mattel Studios
Robbie Brenner joined Mattel in 2018, following direction from Chief Executive Ynon Kreiz to transform the toy giant into a storytelling force – a mission underscored by the $1.44 billion global box office for Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie,” which Brenner produced and earned a Best Picture Oscar nomination in 2024. In June, Mattel elevated Brenner to president and chief content officer of the newly formed Mattel Studios, unifying the company’s film and television operations under Brenner’s leadership for the first time. The expanded role adds television development and production to Brenner’s film portfolio. Upcoming releases include “Masters of the Universe,” starring Nicholas Galitzine and Idris Elba, set for release on Amazon MGM in June 2026, and a “Matchbox” film with John Cena on Apple TV+.
