Dave’s Hot Chicken
Jim Bitticks was promoted to chief executive of Pasadena-based Dave’s Hot Chicken, replacing Bill Phelps in the role. Bitticks had spent the past five-plus years as the chain’s president and chief operating officer, during which he helped preside a global expansion of the upstart eatery by about 400 locations. The company, which began life as a pop-up food stand by three friends, sold to Roark Capital Management for $1 billion last year.
