As vice chancellor of UCLA Health Sciences and as chief executive of UCLA Health, John Mazziotta oversees one of the nation’s leading academic health systems. This includes the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, five hospitals and over 38,000 employees. In addition, he heads up more than 280 outpatient locations. Mazziotta, an internationally recognized brain imaging expert, is the founding director of the Ahmanson-Lovelace Brain Mapping Center. As vice chancellor of UCLA Health Sciences, he’s overseeing development of the California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy at UCLA’s Westwood research park.
