McCarthy Building
Michael Kim has more than 30 years of design and construction experience. He manages McCarthy’s Los Angeles operations and regional development teams. A registered architect with AIA and LEED AP credentials, Kim joined McCarthy after working at HKS and Cannon Design. He has managed McCarthy’s relationship with the Los Angeles Community College District, including the 2025 groundbreaking of the $72 million Cesar Chavez Administration and Workforce Building. Kim is also managing healthcare projects, such as UCLA Health’s Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Mid-Wilshire and the $145 million Kedren Children’s Village in Watts
