HDR
John Henderson serves as the chair of the HDR board and chief executive, with over 30 years of experience in engineering, military construction, infrastructure, and environmental programs. A retired U.S. Army colonel, he commanded units within the Army Corps of Engineers and served as Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Installations, Environment and Energy before joining HDR in 2021. He became chief executive in 2024 after serving as president and chief operating officer. Under his leadership, HDR is providing program and construction management for the $1 billion landside modernization at Los Angeles International Airport and was recently awarded the environmental review contract for a 144-mile rail corridor between Los Angeles and the Coachella Valley.
