President, Chief Executive
Matt Construction
In 2025, Santa Fe Springs-based Matt Construction named Brian Saenger its new chief executive, succeeding Steve Matt after his 34-year tenure as founder and chief executive. Saenger came to the role from The Ratkovich Co., where he had served as chief executive for four years, stepping into the leadership of another family-founded institution. A real estate attorney by training, Saenger brings a background in acquisitions, finance, and real estate development. Known for iconic L.A. projects including the Petersen Automotive Museum redesign and the Hollywood Bowl Stage and Shell renovation, he has described his philosophy as “evolution, not revolution,” with a focus on growing the firm across product types.
