Kayne Anderson
Paul Blank is president and chief operating officer of Kayne Anderson, co-managing the firm and serving on its board of directors and universal investment committee. He’s also the portfolio manager and capital allocator for cross-strategy relationships and oversees the firm’s communications and public affairs. Blank originally joined Kayne Anderson in 1999 as its first energy analyst, playing a key role in launching the energy infrastructure platform in 2000. From 2003 to 2010, he left to found a political strategy and public affairs firm that provided counsel and campaign management to corporations and political leaders worldwide. He was a senior adviser to Gov. Jerry Brown’s 2010 gubernatorial election run. Blank returned to Kayne Anderson as head of strategy in 2011.
