An Egyptian-born entertainment pioneer who immigrated to the U.S. and built a media empire from humble roots as a television music supplier, Haim Saban launched Saban Entertainment in 1988 and kicked off his career with “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.” He co-founded Fox Family Worldwide with News Corporation in 1995 and sold it to The Walt Disney Co. in 2001 for over $5 billion in enterprise value. He founded Saban Capital Group, based in Century City, that same year, building a globally diversified investment portfolio spanning private equity, venture capital, real estate, and public equities. At 80, Saban remains active as a board member of Universal Music Group, a principal at Saban Films, and a co-lead of the Saban Family Foundation, supporting medical, children’s, and educational programs.
