Bennett Rosenthal is co-founder, director, and partner of Ares Management Corp., a Century City-based alternative investment manager, and chairman of the Ares Private Equity Group. A two-time graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business with bachelor’s and M.B.A. degrees, Rosenthal is also the lead managing owner and director of the Los Angeles Football Club. He has been at Ares since 1998, joining from a managing director role on Merrill Lynch & Co.’s global leveraged finance team. Over the past year, Ares has aggressively expanded into industrial real estate, with several blockbuster deals adding millions of square feet to its portfolio. The firm’s private credit funds made headlines in late 2025 and early this year amid investor concerns about liquidity constraints and broader market anxiety.
