Bay and husband Bob Iger (the chief executive of The Walt Disney Co.) reached a deal last year to purchase a majority stake in Angel City Football Club in a deal that valued the sports team at $250 million. They will invest an additional $50 million into the club. Bay also serves as dean of the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, a title she has held since 2017. In her role, Bay oversees nearly 300 faculty and staff and 3,000 students. Research funding support at the school has nearly doubled during her tenure and endowment fundraising has grown by nearly 300%. Bay, who is the first female dean at the school, is a veteran television journalist, digital news editor and author.
