Wasserman is the chair and chief executive of Wasserman as well as the president and chair of LA28. Westwood-based Wasserman, a sports marketing and talent management firm, has been making a number of acquisitions, including bluemedia earlier this year. Other recent acquisitions include Canadian hockey player management firm Momentum Hockey, London-based International Football Management and Long Haul Management, a creative agency that was based in Sherman Oaks. In his role as head of LA28, Wasserman is overseeing the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the U.S. In January, he joined forces with Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Dodgers Chair Mark Walter to create LA Rises, a private-sector recovery initiative.
