World Class Sports
Franken, the president of public relations agency World Class Sports, has kept busy this past year. At the Paris 24 Summer Olympics, the agency represented Olympian runner and Long Beach native Lashinda Demus, who received the first-ever gold medal for the 2012 400-meter hurdles as part of a reallocation ceremony last year. At last year’s Olympics, the company also coordinated the appearances of Kevin Young, Mike Powell, Carol Lewis and Bob Beamon at the USA House. World Class also created the Title IX celebration at last year’s Village Runner Independence Day 5-kilometer run in Redondo Beach. Franken continues to serve on the board of directors for Valley Economic Alliance in Sherman Oaks.
