Chernin steered back to Hollywood after the tech industry cooled, where he was previously very active. In July 2022, he arranged the purchase of Red Arrow Studios’ U.S. assets for a reported $180 million, rolling its reality TV content into newly created North Road Co. Late last year, North Road invested in Promise Advanced Imagination Inc., a Venice-based entertainment company that uses generative artificial intelligence. Chernin previously served as president and chief operating officer of News Corp. and chair and chief executive of Fox Group, where he oversaw the studio and greenlit two of the highest-grossing films of all time, “Titanic” and “Avatar.” He is a co-founder and co-chair of nonprofit Malaria No More.
