Abdy and business partner and co-CEO Michael De Luca’s mandate going forward is to find the right balance in the portfolio that will allow Warner Bros. to make a wider range of films at various price points. Warner Bros. Motion Pictures Group in Burbank, which the duo run, consists of Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema, DC-based films and Warner Bros. Pictures Animation. Prior to joining Warner Bros. in 2022, Abdy served as MGM’s Motion Picture Group President, overseeing development, production and post-production for all MGM and Orion films. Before that, she had executive roles at Makeready, New Regency, Bluegrass Films and Paramount. Abdy was named to Variety’s list of influential global media leaders in 2022 and 2023.
