Gunn became co-chair and co-chief executive of DC Studios in Burbank in November 2022. Throughout his decades-long career, the writer/director/producer has been responsible for a vast portfolio of critically acclaimed films and series, including Warner Bros. live-action movies, “Scooby-Doo” and “Scooby-Doo 2;” the hugely successful Marvel film “Guardians of the Galaxy” and its two sequels; DC’s “The Suicide Squad” and the spin-off series for Max, “Peacemaker.” With the release of The “Suicide Squad” in 2021, Gunn became the first filmmaker to direct a movie for both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Universe. Gunn is also involved in multiple other DC projects, including writing and directing “Superman.”
