Wiggins has led the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority since 2021, an organization with a budget of nearly $9 billion. She is the first woman to lead Metro. Wiggins has worked at the organization for more than a decade, including as its deputy chief executive. She left in 2018 to be chief executive of Metrolink for two years before returning. While at Metrolink she managed an annual budget of more than $790 million and 282 full-time employees. While there she worked on a recovery plan for Covid-19 disruptions. Before joining Metro, Wiggins was Regional Programs Director for the Riverside County Transportation Commission.
