Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation
Riley is the president of the Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation, a role she has held since 2016. She first joined the organization in 2003. In her role, she oversees the Foundation’s activities and investments in education, science and the arts through the Broad Institute, The Broad, BroadStage and The Broad Center at Yale School of Management. Last year she helped launch the L.A. Local News Initiative, which supports independent press in the area. The Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation is among the funders of the initiative. Riley also oversaw the Foundation’s response to the L.A. wildfires and provided initial seed funding for the Grand Avenue Cultural District.
