The S&P 500 rose 25 points to 1,978.
The Nasdaq rose 55 points to 4,861.
The LABJ Stock Index rose one point to 224.
Gainers and Losers
NetSol Technologies Inc., which makes software for the financial services industry, was Tuesday’s biggest local gainer, the second day in a row it has topped the list of local stocks. Shares of the company climbed 10 percent on the day, closing at $5.70 after the company reported revenue that beat analysts’ expectations.
Monday’s biggest loser was cardiovascular therapy developer Capricor Therapeutics Inc. Shares fell 6 percent on the day, closing at $4.03.
