Pacific Commerce Bank on Thursday said that Scott Andrews had been named chief executive.
Andrews, who has been in banking for 36 years, previously was chief executive of Sunrise Bank in San Diego. Earlier, he was the California region president for Capitol Bancorp of Lansing, Mich., executive vice president for First National Bank in San Diego, and held senior positions at Wells Fargo and First Interstate Bank. Andrews started his new job at Pacific Commerce on Tuesday.
“I could not be more pleased to have Scott join us and take the leadership role to move the bank to the next level,” Chairman Thomas Iino said in a statement. “With a solid balance sheet and capital base we are now poised to grow both organically and strategically.”
Pacific Commerce Bank was established in 2002 as a business-oriented community bank with offices in downtown Los Angeles and West Los Angeles. It has been managed by an executive committee since April of last year, when Brian Kelley resigned as chief executive to return to private law practice.
