MEG LODISE
Partner
Sacks, Glazier, Franklin & Lodise LLP
In her 37-year career, Meg Lodise has established an impressive reputation for successfully handling some of the most complex and high-dollar trusts and estates disputes in California. Her work not only achieves important resolutions for clients, but also shapes the future of trusts and estates law.
Lodise obtained a precedent-setting decision in O’Connor v. O’Connor (26 Cal.App.5th 871), defending an appeal brought to challenge the exercise of a power of appointment. The Court of Appeal affirmed the Probate Court’s orders, and in doing so, clarified California law on powers of appointment. Also, as a longtime fellow and current president-elect of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, Lodise works to improve laws, procedures and professional responsibility in connection with trusts and estates law.
