For more than two decades, Manuela Testolini has redefined what youth leadership can look like. The past year marked a significant milestone as In a Perfect World (IAPW) celebrated its 20th anniversary and, alongside young people from Los Angeles, completed its 35th school and classroom internationally. The experience reflected Testolini’s belief that leadership is built through meaningful relationships, shared purpose, and service alongside communities.
As the founder of IAPW, Testolini has built one of the most distinctive youth leadership movements in North America by starting with a simple premise: before young people can lead change in the world, they need the opportunity to discover who they are, what they care about, and how they want to show up for others.
