Judith E. “Judy” Brooks serves as the director of the Archbishop’s Office of Special Services for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Brooks works in concert with the Archbishop of Los Angeles to plan, design and implement a variety of special programs and projects, international pilgrimages, development activities, special events, and connections to those whose time, talents and treasure ensure the vitality of the Archdiocese. She oversees planning of the annual Priest Convocation, Presbyteral Day, the Chrism Mass Dinner and many other clergy-related events and activities.
Brooks has been instrumental in the annual Cardinal’s Awards Dinner, which honors and celebrates extraordinary Catholic lay leaders who are committed to serving the communities and world in a myriad of ways. This annual event helps raise funds that benefit many organizations such as Catholic Charities, food banks, family and homeless shelters, Catholic education, the mentally ill, pregnancy help centers and much more.
