Charlene Dimas-Peinado, L.C.S.W., E.M.L., joined Wellnest in 2016 as its new president and CEO, to lead the nationally recognized trauma informed behavioral health organizations in Los Angeles into its next phase. Throughout her career, Dimas-Peinado has been inspired by the communities and people she serves. Her objective is to make a positive impact on those Wellnest serves and to improve individual lives as well as the life of the community.
Dimas-Peinado holds a Master of Leadership from University of Southern California, and a Master of Social Work from California State University, Long Beach. In 2022, she was appointed to the California Interagency Council on Homelessness Advisory Committee by the Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency Secretary and California Health and Human Services Agency Secretary. In 2015, she was appointed to the Board of Governors for the Natural History Museum by Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis.
