Wickramasekera has significant stand-up courtroom experience, including having served as trial counsel—lead, co-lead, and second chair—in several patent and technology-related commercial disputes, one of which resulted in a US$101 million verdict that was named one of the top verdicts in California in 2011. She has appeared in trials before district courts, the International Trade Commission and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
