Michael Brophy is a partner in the Withersworldwide trust, estate and inheritance disputes team, is the managing director of the Los Angeles office, and the regional divisional leader of the firm’s Private Client & Tax division.
Brophy has extensive experience representing prominent individuals, families, charities, corporate trustees, private professional fiduciaries and creditors in high-stakes litigation involving complex trusts and estates. His practice covers will and trust contests, accounting disputes, breach of duty actions, elder abuse and conservatorship disputes, and other contested probate and fiduciary-related matters. He also has experience in business and commercial litigation, including real estate, copyright, Lanham Act, trade secrets, and unfair competition matters.
