Valerie Lozano is a seasoned trial lawyer based in Los Angeles who has tried a dozen cases for both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts across the country for a wide variety of clients, including Qualcomm, Google and IBM. Her practice focuses on complex business disputes, with an emphasis on intellectual property. As trial counsel, Lozano has never lost a jury trial: when representing plaintiffs, she has always obtained every dollar sought, and when representing defendants, she has always obtained a complete defense verdict. For example, in 2019, Lozano obtained every dollar Qualcomm sought from Apple in a patent infringement lawsuit in the Southern District of California. In 2021, she obtained a $120 million judgment after a seven week jury trial in California state court on behalf of a small, family-owned oil production company against Chevron, while also successfully defeating Chevron’s $52 million cross-claim.
