Brian R. Michael is a partner in Morrison Foerster’s Securities Litigation, Enforcement and White Collar Defense Groups. With more than two decades of unique experience as an in-house leader, in private practice, and as a federal prosecutor, Michael is routinely engaged to represent entities in high-profile, high-stakes white collar criminal cases, internal investigations, securities and regulatory enforcement matters, complex litigation and trials. Michael’s practice also focuses on providing crisis management and compliance counseling, including on anti-corruption, cybersecurity, FinTech, blockchain technology, trade sanctions and workplace conduct matters. Michael has experience leading global risk assessments and helps companies design and implement effective compliance programs. Before returning to private practice in 2017, Michael spent five years as deputy general counsel at 21st Century Fox and more than eight years as an assistant United States attorney in New York and California.
