Prior to attending law school, and also during law school, Puya Partow-Navid worked as a software quality assurance engineer at Symantec for nearly a decade. There, he developed new ad-blocking technology. His path to a career as an attorney may be considered non-traditional. Still, part of his success as a patent attorney can be attributed to skills and experiences obtained while he was an engineer.
In 2021 alone, Partow-Navid prepared over hundred patent applications and has established himself as a reliable resource for providing patent counseling to new and existing clients. He is the go-to contact at Seyfarth Shaw for clients that need assistance with artificial intelligence-related patents. As such, he performs patent prosecution work for the firm’s largest patent prosecution client and has helped increase work year over year. Additionally, his experience was crucial for securing patent prosecution work from one of the world’s largest automobile manufacturers.
