Lookman Olusanya has served as the chief financial officer at Metropolis Technologies – an artificial intelligence company focused on enhancing transactions in the physical world – since June 2025. Olusanya’s expertise spans FP&A, capital allocation, enterprise systems, M&A, data analytics, and business model innovation, with a strong focus on clarity, performance and scale. Known for his ability to connect strategic vision with operational execution in a high-tech environment, Olusanya builds finance organizations that are not just accurate, but insight-driven, business-focused, and built to lead at pace. At Metropolis, Olusanya leads the finance and accounting teams. His work supports the company’s growth in the “Recognition Economy”—an infrastructure model that uses AI to anticipate user needs. He helped guide the company through major financial milestones, including a large $1.6 billion funding round. Previously, Olusanya held the CFO position at Block Inc.’s Square from August 2023 to May 2025, overseeing finance and operational strategy for a multi-billion-dollar ecosystem. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President of FP&A and Strategic Finance for Google Cloud, where he directed financial initiatives for a $30 billion business. He also held various finance leadership roles at Amazon Web Services, contributing to enterprise planning and financial systems transformation. Early career experience includes finance management positions at American Airlines, focusing on financial analysis and restructuring efforts.
