Hosting an event during the day includes Zoo admission, which allows you to explore this lush urban oasis with more than 1,100 animals, representing more than 250 different species. Along the way, guests can enjoy live presentations and more. Special close-up encounters can be added to any event, with animal walkabouts, featuring your choice of ambassador animal. A zookeeper will share fascinating facts about the animals and answer guests’ questions.
The zoo offers 12 different venue options. At the heart of the Zoo is the popular and versatile venue, Treetops Terrace. It is a covered space ideal for parties up to 800. Or, consider a magical space nestled among banyan trees, with giraffes and chimpanzees on each side. This venue, Mahale Mountain, can accommodate parties up to 80 people during the day and is perfect for receptions for up to 200 at night.
If an indoor space for a retreat or training is what you need, the zoo has that, too! The Witherbee Auditorium seats up to 240 people, with audiovisual included. The Boardroom fits up to 50 and includes teleconferencing capabilities and a large monitor with internet connection.
As the sun sets, more private venues become available, including Cambodia Pavilion and Elephant Plaza, both offering views of our Elephants of Asia exhibit. Meanwhile, the stunning Stilt House in the Rainforest of the Americas overlooks an Amazonian lagoon with giant river otters and piranhas.
In-house caterer, Taste of the Wild, will help you build a menu to add the perfect flavor to your event. Companies can be as involved as they would like in their culinary selections, by choosing a pre-existing menu or working with the catering team on an assortment that is truly unique.
