As a champion of women in the workplace, an emerging business development leader and trailblazer in the Los Angeles nonprofit community, Lizbeth Nevarez is truly a leader of influence. Born in Mexico, she moved to the U.S. at five. She was a recipient of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which allowed her to be the first in her family to finish college and gain employment after graduation. She found her first accounting job at GHJ in 2008, and has become a pivotal member of the firm.
Nevarez leads GHJ’s Nonprofit Tax Practice, which offers a range of tax services to tax-exempt entities. In this role, she leads a dedicated team of experienced tax professionals to provide advisory and compliance services. She specializes in providing complex tax services for nonprofits and tax-exempt entities and is an expert on how tax reforms are impacting nonprofits.
