Thomas Watson is a partner at the international law firm of Steptoe & Johnson LLP. Watson focuses his practice on the trial and arbitration of complex, often bet-the-company, matters. What sets him apart is the creative approach he brings to solving complex legal issues, an approach that has brought him clients ranging from start-ups, to established local companies, to some of the largest publicly traded companies in the world. They trust him with their problems, which range from a few million to hundreds of millions in dispute.
Watson has a particular emphasis on energy, financial, bankruptcy, human rights, cross-border, and international disputes. Notably, although he is based in Los Angeles, Watson represents clients from Los Angeles but also from all over the world, including from Europe and Asia. Watson also has deep experience litigating whistleblower claims under the False Claims Act.
