Ben Wang is a partner at Russ August & Kabat. He represents clients in business and intellectual property disputes, particularly in patent and trade secret trials and appeals.
Wang served as lead counsel in a patent jury trial that resulted in a verdict in favor of his client on all issues and damages, and found willful infringement. The district court then enhanced the amount of damages by 100%, awarding Wang’s client total damages of over $15 million. On June 3, 2022, after an oral argument in which Wang argued for his client, the appellee, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit issued a precedential opinion, affirming the verdict in favor of Wang’s client on all grounds. In another recent case, Wang was second chair in a patent jury trial and obtained a verdict in favor of his client on all issues and damages of $3.1 million.
