Michael Brophy is a partner in Withersworldwide’s trust, estate and inheritance disputes team and is the office managing director of the Los Angeles office and the regional divisional leader of the firm’s Private Client & Tax (PCT) division. In the latter role, Brophy has been supporting the US PCT division of more than 100 lawyers across eight offices in the firm’s new working environment, including leading through the transition in the firm new LA office space.
Brophy’s ability to adapt quickly and efficiently allowed the team to continue to see growth during the pandemic. He is also a member of the firm’s Recruitment Committee, where his contributions include actively participating in diversity initiatives at law schools and in diversity mentoring programs. Brophy has extensive experience representing prominent individuals, families, charities, corporate trustees, private professional fiduciaries, and creditors in high-stakes litigation involving complex trusts and estates.
