Joshua Briones is a son of immigrant farm workers who came to the US from Mexico to work in the fields of Northern California. A hard work ethic at an early age was the fuel that helped Briones succeed later in life. Today, Briones is managing member of Mintz’s Los Angeles office and serves on the firm’s Policy Committee.
A highly experienced trial lawyer, Briones has received awards and national recognition for his innovative approach to the defense of bet-the-company litigation. He has served as lead defense counsel on over 600 alleged nationwide class actions in state and federal courts across the country. He and his team have successfully defended many bet-the-company class actions that threaten a company’s brand, reputation, business model and bottom line. A skilled negotiator, Briones has a long record of securing dismissals and extremely favorable settlements for his clients.
