As one of the lead M&A partners in Kirkland’s Los Angeles corporate group, Luke Guerra is among the most prolific deal lawyers in the industry. In the last year alone, he has led upward of 17 M&A transactions totaling more than $15 billion in value. He represents private equity funds and their portfolio companies in a wide array of transactions, including leveraged buyouts, public and private mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, restructurings and recapitalizations. Guerra has completed transactions across industries such as technology, manufacturing, retail, financial services, energy, health care and media and entertainment.
Guerra helps lead Kirkland’s relationship with Clearlake Capital Group, one of the leading Los Angeles-based private equity firms. This past National Hispanic Heritage Month, he hosted a firmwide fireside chat alongside Clearlake Capital’s co-founder and managing partner, José E. Feliciano discussing diverse representation in business and private equity in connection with Kirkland’s diversity efforts.
