David Marcus, the partner-in-charge of WilmerHale’s Los Angeles office, has 30-plus years of experience as a trial lawyer, both in private practice and as a government prosecutor. Earlier in Marcus’ career, he served as a prosecutor in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and, from 1994-2000, he was an assistant United States attorney in the Criminal Division of the US Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California. During that time, Marcus served as the executive assistant US attorney, responsible for the day-to-day management of the 240-lawyer office. He was also a member of the Major Frauds Section, where he investigated and tried complex white-collar crimes. Since leaving government in 2000, Marcus has litigated and tried commercial cases in state and federal courts across the country. He also defends companies and individuals in criminal investigations and has conducted internal investigations for public companies.
